Discover Arlington & The Davenport Group Home Buying Workshop

Tulip Walk on Mt. Vernon Trail
April 7 | 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Join Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail and WalkArlington for a casual paced 5 mile walk to visit two of our favorite tulip patches on and near the Mount Vernon Trail. We will stop at both sites with time to take pictures. Stops include the Navy & Merchant Marine Memorial and the Netherlands Carillon. The walk will begin and end at Compass Coffee in Rosslyn.
Due to high interest, registration will be limited. Please register to confirm attendance.
Solar Eclipse Viewing in Rosslyn at Gateway Park
April 8 | 2-4 PM
Spend the afternoon with the Rosslyn BID to celebrate and view the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8, from 2-4 p.m. at Gateway Park! Take your lunch break, stop by on your commute home, or bring your friends and family out for music, lawn games, and eclipse viewing courtesy of the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club (NOVAC). Don’t miss our solar glasses giveaway to view the sun directly (while supplies last).
Register now for this free event and secure your chance to see the solar eclipse – the next one won’t be in the contiguous U.S. until 2044!
THE COMEDY KARAOKE TRIVIA FUNTIME SHOW
April 13 | 7:30 PM
Get ready for a one-of-a-kind event!
The Comedy Karaoke Trivia Funtime Show is a unique blend of entertainment hosted by Christian Hunt.
Bring a team or fly solo and win prizes by dropping knowledge in a trivia competition, then duking it out in a karaoke battle.
This fantastic event is at Highline RxR, located at 2010 Crystal Drive, Arlington VA 22202. April’s edition is on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7:00pm.
This show also features stand-up comedy from the DC area’s finest comics! April’s headliner is the hilarious Daphne London!
Taylor Swift Friendship Bracelet Night
April 18 | 6:30 PM
Join us in celebrating Tortured Poets Department Eve with friendship bracelet making, a Taylor Swift word search, other Taylor-related activities, and of course, some champagne* (minus the problems).
So, are you a “Bolter”? Or “The Albatross”? Maybe you’re more of a classic “Manuscript”? Now is definitely the time to make some new friendship bracelets with no context of the new album and what it could hold. Come trade theories–and friendship bracelets–while we count down the hours until TTPD is released! (Though we won’t be staying until midnight, I’m sorry to say.)
Tickets are limited, and will include bracelet supplies (while supplies last–feel free to bring your own to supplement), sparkling wine tasting, and first look at some exciting new Taylor Swift merchandise.
Spring Fling Cocktail & Dance Party at Whino
April 20 | 7:30 PM
We are pleased to announce that DJ Steve is co hosting this fun filled event. Everyone loved his play list at our holiday event back in December. By popular demand, he will play your favorite dancing tunes throughout the night again! The ticket price is $30.00 and all proceeds from tickets sale are donated 100% to cancer patients. Please join us for another fun evening while sipping your favorite cocktails, networking and dancing! We guarantee you will have a fun filled evening.

Earth Day Every Day Festival
April 21 | 11 AM - 5 PM
Come together as a community to celebrate the beauty and promise of our local environment and the planet. Every year, communities worldwide uplift Earth Day to mark the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. It reminds us all to do what we can, in ways small and significant, restore, conserve and protect our environment.
Featuring live music, kids' activities, the Arlington Art Truck, community exhibits, food and drink vendors, and an art market!

Embrace Self-Love
At our workshop, we are dedicated to helping you embrace self-love and taking the time to nurture yourself. It is essential for a healthy and fulfilling life; and by nourishing our own well-being, we are better equipped to spread love and positivity to those around us. During the event we will prompt you to share two ways you are pouring love into yourself as a verbal commitment and be an inspiration to others.
Clay Jewelry Making
In addition to self-care, we also offer a unique opportunity to create lightweight clay earrings. This is a great fun & decompressive process. We will all use the same color palette, learning a beautiful marbling technique. You will also get to choose your own earring shape & go home with your one of a kind earring design.
Candle Making
You will also have an opportunity to craft a custom smelling candle. You will be provided with all the tools needed to create. London Wick will walk you through every step & you will get to name your candle to tak ehome same day. That can be used to Spring up your home this season.
Stunning Ambiance
We always create a beautiful ambiance, with the event’s table decor being elegantly decorated. Additionally, there will be a stunning photo opportunity where you can capture pictures to share on social media!
All Materials Provided: All the necessary materials, including high-quality clay, jewelry findings, fragrances, and soy wax for the candles. Just bring your enthusiasm and creativity, and we'll take care of the rest.
Arlington Festival of the Arts
April 27-28 | 10 AM - 5PM
Join us for the highly-anticipated Arlington Festival of the Arts, located in the heart of Clarendon, one of Arlington's most vibrant neighborhoods! Discover a stunning array of handmade-in-the-USA artwork, carefully selected by HAE's rigorous vetting process. Visitors can expect to be impressed by a diverse range of artistic mediums, including sculpture, pottery, jewelry, photography, mixed-media, painting, and much more. This event caters to a wide range of artistic preferences, ensuring that each attendee finds a piece of art that speaks to them. Don't miss your chance to experience this exceptional celebration of the arts in Clarendon! The show will be located on Washington Blvd from Clarendon Blvd to N. Garfield St and on N. Highland St from Washington Blvd to 11th St. N. in the Clarendon Neighborhood.
