ALCOVA HEIGHTS
Is a south central neighborhood bordered by 4 of Arlington’s most traveled main streets: Arlington Blvd, S Glebe Rd, Columbia Pike and S George Mason Dr. Its real estate is primarily made up of single family homes and some condo and apartment buildings. The central location of Alcova Heights makes it a great location for someone looking to commute in Arlington and Northern VA.

ARLINGTON FOREST
Is a community located about a mile or so west of the Ballston Common Mall, bordering Carlin Springs Road and divided by Arlington Boulevard. Its real estate is filled with the classic brick colonial “Arlington” home. It is home to one of Arlington’s greatest outdoor areas: Lubber Run. ARLINGTON HEIGHTS
Is a small national historic district located at Arlington County, Virginia. It extends south from Arlington Boulevard to Columbia Pike. It is west of Arlington National Cemetery between S. Walter Reed Drive and South Glebe Road. Located just over one mile from downtown, apartments in Arlington Heights offer easy access to Ballston Common Mall, the Pentagon, and Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. Single-family dwellings include representative examples of the Tudor Revival and Colonial Revival styles. The district is primarily a single-family residential neighborhood with a number of twin dwellings, garden apartments, a middle school with community center, and two landscaped parks.
Arlington Heights is said to be a tight-knit community with a nearby Elementary and Middle school and a highly-rated community center. The neighborhood is close to DC and the residents are friendly and helpful. They have neighborhood events throughout the year such as Christmas Caroling, Halloween parade and party, many mid-summer block parties, softball games, and a quarterly meeting with free pizza.

Is a smaller South Arlington neighborhood bordered between the Four Mile Run stream and Carlin Springs Road. BARCROFT
Is another neighborhood located in central Arlington. Bordered by Arlington Boulevard to the north and Columbia Pike to the south, this community was named for Dr. John Barcroft who built the largest gristmill on the east coast in the late 1800s.
Barcroft real estate is a mix of more traditional Arlington style homes and new constructions consisting of large Craftsman style homes.
This is a neighborhood with a homey feel—nice tree-lined streets and adjacent park land with Glencarlyn Park and Four Mile Run along the western border and Alcova Heights Park on the east. There’s also Barcroft Park with its Sports and Fitness Center, lighted athletic courts and great jogging trails. This is a beautiful safe place to raise a family with great access to roads and trails. Bluemont contains numerous retail stores, a grocery store, and several restaurants. One restaurant that you must try is Pupatella, which serves the best pizza in Arlington, Virginia! CHERRYDALE
Is located in northern Arlington west of I-66 and north of the Ballston-Virginia Square neighborhood. Cherrydale consists of mostly single family homes with a few townhomes, condos and apartment buildings. In Cherrydale, you will find older homes with a lot of character on the outside with recent renovations on the inside. If you haven't heard of Cherrydale, you probably have driven through it without knowing. The center of Cherrydale is right next to the five points intersection of Lee Highway, Old Dominion Dr, Quincy St, and N Quebec St where you have probably had difficulty making a left turn. Cherrydale has a few retail stores along Lee Highway but is mostly residential.

CLAREMONT
Is a community located in southwest Arlington bordering Columbia Forest, Fairlington, and Douglas Park. CLARENDON-COURTHOUSE
Is in our opinion the epicenter of Arlington, Virginia and our favorite place to go on the weekend. If you want to be surrounded by countless restaurants, bars, grocery stores, fitness studios and retail stores, this is the neighborhood for you. However, you are going to pay for it, as it is one of the most expensive places to live per sqft. Clarendon-Courthouse contains a mix of high rise condominiums, apartment complexes, townhomes and single family homes.
The neighborhood is home to two metro stops: Clarendon and Courthouse. There is an AMC located next to the Courthouse Metro and three small parks within the Clarendon-Courthouse neighborhood. For the many millennials that live in Arlington, it is the place to live.

COLUMBIA FOREST
Is a small neighborhood on the western border of Arlington bounded by Columbia Pike to the North, Four Mile Run to the East, S George Mason Dr to the South and the Arlington-Falls Church border to the West. Despite the fact that it is very close to major transportation ways that flow both into the District and out to the burbs/business campuses, you will still get that residential and charming feel in this neighborhood. It is a couple of minutes from Shirlington Village where you can shop, get groceries, or dine at one of the local restaurants. You can spend a lot of time outdoors: head to the WO&D and Four Mile Run trails for a jog or spend a lot of time at Bailey’s Branch or Barcroft Park. Columbia Forest real estate is primarily made up of small (studio to two bedroom) to medium sized (three or four bedroom) apartment complexes/high-rise apartments and single-family homes. It is largely considered the most affordable neighborhood in Arlington.

DONALDSON RUN

It is nestled between Old Dominion Drive, the Washington Golf and Country Club, and Potomac Overlook Regional Park. The neighborhood mostly consists of single family homes nestled amongst trees with a couple of churches, Taylor Elementary School, and Marymount University. Donaldson Run can be very hilly in parts with the homes built up on sloping landscapes. The Donaldson Run stream runs through the neighborhood from Marymount University to Potomac Overlook Regional Park and the Potomac River. There is a trail that runs alongside the stream that serves as a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

DOUGLAS PARK
Is a neighborhood in South Arlington that is bordered by 4 of our area’s biggest thoroughfares: Glebe Road, Four Mile Run Drive, Columbia Pike, and Walter Reed Drive. It’s incredibly close to the restaurants and shops of Columbia Pike & Shirlington, and a 10 minute drive from the DC line. There are plenty of dog parks and trails like Doctors Branch Park, Fort Barnard Community Gardens, and of course, Douglas Park. Commuters continue to choose Douglas Park for its convenience to the District and access to major transportation options — Interstate 66, I-395, and Route 50, public transportation, and its bikeability.

EAST FALLS CHURCH
Is the western corner of Arlington County located adjacent to the city of Falls Church with I-66 running through the center of the neighborhood. While the neighborhood of East Falls Church is not the most walkable neighborhood in Arlington, some of the major roads in Arlington run through it like I-66, Washington Blvd, and Lee Highway. Also this neighborhood contains the East Falls Church Metro stop which is the last metro stop in Arlington for the orange and silver lines.
The style of homes in East Falls Church follow the traditional Arlington style - single family colonial style home. Also typical of Arlington, new construction craftsmans are scattered amongst the mix. So while the neighborhood of East Falls Church is located close to I-66 and contains a Metro stop, it does not have much to offer its residents compared to the other Arlington neighborhoods. However, if you like seafood, we would highly recommend making a visit to Chasin' Tails. Our favorite dish? The Crawfish Étouffée!

FAIRLINGTON
Is a neighborhood in the southernmost part of Arlington county bordering the City of Alexandria, located directly next to the Village at Shirlington. The main thoroughfares are Interstate 395, which divides the neighborhood into North and South Fairlington, King Street and Quaker Lane. Fairlington has its own private swimming pools and tennis and basketball courts for its residents. Multiple restaurants, shops, live theatre, a movie theatre, grocery stores, and more are all walking distance. The W&OD Trail trailhead and Four Mile Run are a quick walk or bike ride away as well. Utah Field Baseball Park and Abingdon Elementary School also offer locations for activities, plus a very popular weekly Farmers Market.
It is one of the most popular places to live in Arlington for families and first time home buyers due to it’s great location, amenities, affordability, community atmosphere, and walkability. The neighborhood consists of primarily townhouse-type condominium apartments built in the 1940s as the largest housing project financed by the Defense Homes Corporation during World War II. Fairlington is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and on the Virginia Landmarks Register.

FOREST GLEN

While it does not have a primary area for restaurant and retail, it is a very quick drive to Baileys Crossroads and other Leesburg Pike shopping and activities.

FOXCROFT HEIGHTS
Is a small neighborhood in North Arlington along the southernmost section of Arlington National Cemetery. Its main highlight is that it is home to the stunning Air Force Memorial, which can be seen for miles around the DMV. There isn’t much to this half mile area, but there are about 50 or so residences that call Foxcroft Heights home.

NORTH ROSSLYN
Rosslyn is made up of three Arlington, Virginia neighborhoods - North Rosslyn, half of North Highland, and Radnor-Ft Meyer Heights. Rosslyn is the closest neighborhood to Washington, D.C. as it is right across the Potomac River via the Francis Scott Key or Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Bridge. Rosslyn consists of numerous high-rise commercial and residential buildings which form the iconic skyline seen on the Home page of our website. Rosslyn has a different feel than the other residential neighborhoods of Arlington as it feels like a true urban environment.
Rosslyn offers some of the nicest high-rise condominiums in Arlington, Virginia like Turnberry Tower (pictured in this section) that have terrific views of Georgetown, the Potomac River and Washington, D.C.. However, these amazing condominiums and lavish townhomes have some of the highest $/sqft in all of Arlington upwards to $1,000/sqft. Besides regal places to live, Rosslyn offers tons of restaurants so you will never have to go far to get a tasty bite to eat. Plus, the Orange, Silver and Blue Metro lines go through Rosslyn station so you can travel anywhere rather quickly.
To look into the future, Rosslyn was just approved for a huge redevelopment project called Rosslyn Plaza which will redevelop an eastern section of Rosslyn over the next 25 years that will add roughly 2.5 million square feet of retail, offices, residences and public open space.

Is a neighborhood of northern Arlington. It is one of the better neighborhoods for commuting and walkability. Located in the southeast corner of Arlington County, bordering Fairfax County and the city of Alexandria, Shirlington is one of the more affordable places to live in Arlington. While Shirlington does not have a metro stop, there is a metro bus that runs from Shirlington into Washington, D.C. making stops at the Pentagon and Farragut West Metro stops.
